Pro Dysbiosis

What is it?

With NL-Lab's Pro Dysbiosis package, a practitioner can quickly and inexpensively find out if the gut microbiome is in balance. If it is not, the report provides insight into the type of imbalance, the degree of imbalance and therapeutic advice on how to restore the balance.

This package is well suited as an initial inventory of the gut microbiome or when monitoring over a longer period of time.

This package is particularly recommended for:
  • Abdominal cramps
  • Bloating
  • Excessive flatulence
  • Obstipation
  • Diarrhea
  • Mucus in the stool
  • Discoloration of the stool
  • Fatigue
  • Irritable bowel syndrome
  • Gallstones
  • Depression

Our easy-to-understand report gives you insight into:

  • The type of dysbiosis
  • The severity of dysbiosis
  • The stability of the gut microbiome
  • The condition of the sample (color, consistency and acidity)
  • The numbers and activity percentages of the bacterial group Bacteroides
  • The numbers and activity rates of the bacterial group Clostridium

Our therapeutic advice includes:

  • In the case of dysbiosis, advice for restoring the balance of the gut microbiome, focused on the specific type of dysbiosis
  • Advice for any abnormalities found

All our opinions are based on accepted, scientifically based knowledge. We provide telephone support for the applicant for substantive questions.

Explanation of the package

Traditional dysbiosis testing only indicates whether the gut microbiome is in balance (eubiosis) or out of balance (dysbiosis). At NL-Lab, we have developed an improved model for dysbiosis. Our model has four different types of dysbiosis, ehttps://nl-lab.nl/https://nl-lab.nl/verbeterd-basis-dysblk with their own characteristics and possible treatments. So this is much more specific!

Our model is based on the numbers and activity of the two largest groups of bacteria in the gut microbiome: the Clostridium and Bacteroides species, together accounting for 80% of the total gut microbiome. When the numbers and microbiological activity of (one of) these groups is increased or decreased, dysbiosis is present.

Our model works with four basic types of dysbiosis:

  • Rotting dyspepsia (Clostridium high, Bacteroides low)
  • Anaerobic dysbiosis (Clostridium high, Bacteroides high)
  • Microbiome depression (Clostridium low, Bacteroides low)
  • Saccharolytic dysbiosis (Clostridium low, Bacteroides high)

Research method used

The research in this package is based on our patented C-FISH method.
