Vacancy: Laboratory Technician/Analyst, Microbiology and Molecular Biology (HLO)

Biotrack is a rapidly growing (bio)technology company that is making waves internationally with its proprietary advanced detection technology. Biotrack develops services under the name NL-Lab ( www.nl-lab.nl ) and products for the rapid and innovative detection of (gut) microbiomes, antibiotic sensitivity, and various pathogens.

We are looking to expand our team and are looking for a:

Laboratory Technician/Analyst, Microbiology and Molecular Biology (HLO)

What do we ask:

Completed higher professional education in the field of microbiology/molecular biology.
At least 2 years of relevant laboratory experience in the field of development and/or analytical services.
Experience with molecular biological detection methods. Experience with fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) and ELISAs is a plus.
Experience with relevant bioinformatics software.
Preferably experience with operating automated analysis systems and reporting.
Living in Friesland is an advantage, preferably within a radius of 30 kilometers from Leeuwarden.

Good (written and oral) communication skills in Dutch and English.

- Participate in challenging R&D projects

- Optimizing sample preprocessing protocols.
- Accurately and completely document results and make them transparent for colleagues and clients.
