Pro Dysbiosis
What is it?
With NL-Lab's Pro Dysbiosis package, a practitioner can quickly and affordably determine whether the gut microbiome is in balance. If not, the report provides insight into the type of imbalance, the degree of imbalance, and therapeutic advice on how to restore it.
This package is very suitable as an initial inventory of the intestinal microbiome or for monitoring over a longer period.
This package is especially recommended for:
- Stomach cramps
- Bloated feeling
- Excessive flatulence
- Constipation
- Diarrhea
- Mucus in the stool
- Discoloration of the stool
- Fatigue
- Irritable bowel syndrome
- Gallstones
- Depression

Our comprehensible report gives you insight into:
- The type of dysbiosis
- The severity of the dysbiosis
- The stability of the gut microbiome
- The condition of the sample (colour, consistency and acidity)
- The numbers and activity percentages of the bacterial group Bacteroides
- The numbers and activity percentages of the bacterial group Clostridium
Our therapeutic advice includes:
- In case of dysbiosis, advice for restoring the balance of the intestinal microbiome, tailored to the specific type of dysbiosis
- Advice on any deviations found
All our advice is based on accepted, scientifically sound knowledge. We offer telephone support for applicants with substantive questions.
Explanation of the package
Traditional dysbiosis research only indicates whether the gut microbiome is in balance (eubiosis) or out of balance (dysbiosis). At NL-Lab, we have developed an improved dysbiosis model . Our model recognizes four different types of dysbiosis, each with their own characteristics and potential treatments. This makes it much more specific!
Our model is based on the numbers and activity of the two largest groups of bacteria in the gut microbiome: Clostridium and Bacteroides species, which together account for 80% of the total gut microbiome. When the numbers and microbiological activity of (one of) these groups are increased or decreased, dysbiosis occurs.
Our model works with four basic types of dysbiosis:
- Putrefactive dyspepsia (Clostridium high, Bacteroides low)
- Anaerobic dysbiosis (Clostridium high, Bacteroides high)
- Microbiome depression (Clostridium low, Bacteroides low)
- Saccharolytic dysbiosis (Clostridium low, Bacteroides high)
Research method used
The research in this package is based on our patented C-FISH method.
Monster and logistics
This test uses a fecal sample. Your client can easily collect the sample at home and mail it to NL-Lab. NL-Lab provides all materials, and shipping within the Netherlands is included in the price.
Thanks to the research method we use, the sample remains usable for up to seven days after collection ( unlike other methods ).
For whom?
The Pro Dysbiosis package is aimed at practitioners who deal with nutrition and health, such as doctors, dieticians, orthomolecular therapists, health coaches, etc.
